The Castle of Pigs

The Castle of Pigs

China, Japan / Chinese · 4 min · 2026

Directed by SHUYI LI

In a castle where pigs live together, their chief declares that they must grow heavier to fight against humans, in order to escape the fate of being butchered. Believing his words, the young pigs eat, grow fat, and eagerly prepare for the coming war. Following the chief’s command, they march into a long tunnel — convincing they are heading toward the battlefield. However, what awaits them is something entirely different. Disguised as a children's fairy tale, this stop-motion animation unfolds as a dark allegory about obedience, manipulation, and the consequences of blind belief.
